Rock legends The Stranglers are to headline the Pier Head main stage on Mathew Street Sunday, 28 August along with The Christians, Buzzcocks and Tony Christie, and critically-acclaimed Merseyside band Amsterdam to perform their only festival date this summer on the Monday, on the Pier Head Stage South. 

Mathew Street Monday, Bank Holiday 29 August, will also see Brit award winners McFly spearheading a star-studded line-up of acts including Lee Ryan and James Bourne in a two-hour live show between 11am and 1pm on Bank Holiday Monday.

Organised by Liverpool's number one radio station Radio City 96.7, in partnership with the Liverpool Culture Company, 5,000 pairs of tickets for Radio City Live at Mathew Street Monday are to be given away - for FREE. The tickets for the 29 August show, which will be staged at Liverpool's world famous Pier Head, will be available from HMV stores across the North West from Thursday 11 August.

Joining the stars will be a mammoth 150 tribute bands from 20 countries, from as far as Brazil and Japan, performing live on the six outdoor stages and at more than 40 indoor venues.
